Assertiveness for Women (1-2 days)

Are you not being ‘heard’ in meetings? Are your views dismissed without being seriously considered? Do you present in an apologetic way? Do you feel under-confident or come across as under-confident? Are you not getting the promotion you deserve?
These will be very common experiences of women at work. This course is specifically designed to help participants develop Assertiveness Skills that might lead to them becoming more effective in the workplace. The course largely takes workshop form and is facilitated by a female trainer in a highly supportive manner.

Learning Objectives:

• Everyone can learn Assertiveness techniques
• Assertiveness principles
• The 4 Life Positions: I’m Ok-You’re OK
• Presenting in an Assertive way:
        -Body language
        -Dress
        -Posture etc.
• Assertive language-
        -Words
        -Tone
        -Volume etc
• The Assertiveness Charter of Rights
• Making a reasonable request
• Saying 'No'
• Receiving a compliment
• Giving a compliment
• Giving positive feedback
• Giving constructive negative feedback
• The use of broken record
• Using negative enquiry
• Asserting you right to be heard
• Talking about yourself in a positive way
