Personalisation
This course introduces the Government’s Social Care reforms regarding
Personalisation of care to people working with service users with Learning
Disabilities. The main idea behind Individual or Personal Budgets is to put the
person who is supported, or given services, in control of deciding what support
or services they get.
The course will identify the processes involved, explore the transforming social
care agenda, help workers to assess and manage risk when working with vulnerable
service users and in helping them to create and manage their own support plans,
help people to maintain choice and control over their lives and ensure
Safeguarding underpins the process. There will be the opportunity to consolidate
learning through practice scenarios.
