Supporting People - Needs & Risk Assessment

This one day course defines the aims of needs and risk assessments and explains the legal requirements of Supporting People and its Quality Assessment Framework (QAF), obligatory since April 2004. We then focus upon choice and informed choice, Maslow’s hierarchy of need, risk assessment and management work. An introduction to organisational policies and procedures often forms part of the agenda and these are then brought to life via case studies. The day closes with attention given to providing cohesive support and strategies to maximise service user input.
