Opportunities for Associate Trainers

We are currently seeking additional trainers:


Management training

You will be an experienced Manager with a background in Social Care/Support/Housing or Social Work.
You would deliver courses to senior staff and managers and we are particularly interested in hearing from people who are fully up to date in areas such as Safeguarding, Personalisation etc.

Child Care/Protection

You will have experience of managing a children’s service and be up to date in current Child Care Practice and Legislation. We want to promote training in this area and therefore would be interested to hear from people with solid knowledge of Child Protection and Care.

Benefits

You will need to have an understanding of Social Care and Support and be up to date with benefits rights. You would deliver courses focusing on benefits for people receiving residential support etc.

Nursing skills

You will need to be a qualified and registered General Nurse to deliver courses such as safe practice with Epilepsy, administration of medication etc. Experience with Older People and/or People with Learning Disabilities essential as is an understanding of social care.

Housing

You will be an experienced Manager in Supported Housing and be familiar with working with homeless people, people with Mental Health needs and substance use. You will be up to date with Housing Legislation and Government strategies etc.

Substance use

You will have considerable experience as a substance/alcohol worker and be knowledgeable about the current context, services etc. You will be able to deliver course such as Motivational interviewing, substance use awareness, Dual Diagnosis etc.

Mental Health

You will be an experienced Mental Health practitioner with a solid knowledge of legislation and current practice to deliver courses such as the MCA, Mental Health Act, Mental Health Awareness, Dual Diagnosis etc.

Working with Challenge, Violence and Aggression

We are looking for people who have considerable experience in managing challenging and violent behaviour e.g. in a secure unit, probation etc. Whilst courses would focus on non-physical interventions, experience of using restraint, breakaway etc would be advantageous. You will hold suitable qualifications and be familiar with Social Care/Support.

Equality and Diversity

You will have an understanding of Social Care and Support and be up to date with Equality legislation and Diversity practice at all levels, including Managerial.

Health & Safety

You will hold relevant qualifications and have a ‘real, understand of social care so as to deliver courses such as Moving and Handling, Fire Safety, Emergency treatments.

Whilst Norman Mark Training serves as an agency for Associate Trainers, we expect a lot from our Associate Trainers. Trainers work within very clear policies and procedures when working under our umbrella. Our good name and our success has been achieved by us ensuring that all those working with us uphold our set standards and high level of customer care. We recognise that this management and professional scrutiny does not suit everyone wishing to undertake freelance work and therefore only wish to attract trainers who are exceptionally committed to training.
